Fun, but buggy and grindy

First off, this is a great game. A wonderful mix of RPG/strategy with a whole load of humour, Sci-Fi and upgrading. With numerous character classes and upgrade tress. Right up my alley. Apart from the short playtime, it’s perfect as a base game if you disregard the bugs. However, there are a number of general things that need to be addressed:

1) I’ve had numerous occasions where the game has bugged out when I’m trying to move forward and I have to close the game entirely and restart it, as I can’t take any actions. For instance, I’ve done Halls of Valhalla Rank 16 four times in a row now and it’s bugged each time after 20 mins on the level on the advancement.

2) Fuel needs to be more plentiful, or the hat costs reduced. There’s no chance of getting high level hats without hours and hours of grinding. I mean houuuuuurs. This means that I have to farm for hours at the moment doing the same level and I can’t progress any further in the main game (on NG+). This is pretty much my main concern with the game.

3) The cooldown for new characters in the tavern needs to be reduced. I’ve been playing for days and I still don’t have the optimal party I want (due to lacking the unique traits I want).

4) The gold cap needs to be increased. First of all, I spent the entire game at max gold, and second, the final max gold cap is a joke. Or at least give us something decent to actually spend gold on, like fuel. My backpack is always full and between the cap for items and money that’s so much wastage.

Great fun and a good challenge!

I don't normally go for cartoon style graphics, but this is a great little strategy game and ramps up in difficulty quite nicely.

The graphics however seems a little blurry on the iPad in comparison to iPhone and there unfortunately isn't iCloud sync or GameCenter leaderboards, but these are small gripes. [See updated review below]

I'll stand by my 5 star review in any case and look forward to a potential iCloud sync update in the future. It's really important for me as I use the iPad and iPhone interchangeably.

Hey, actually there totally is GameCenter leaderboards! Go to Snail Planet, and there's this green tower called "Trials of Valhalla". Competing there will raise your score :)

Great game

Having noticed the game on steam a while ago, and chroma squad mention in the screen shot at quickly bought it.

Great game so much more than I was expecting and at such a cheap price :)
