Description
The SQUARE ENIX Software Token is an application designed to strengthen the security of user accounts for playing online games by generating and requiring One-Time Passwords when logging in.

Beware
If you lose or accidentally wipe your iOS device without deactivating first you will be locked out of your account effectively and SE support are very patchy with helping you to fix it. They will eventually but it can take a while and their attitude could be better and in the meantime you can't play. Better to use an ultra complex unique password. More likely to get screwed by this than helped.
Is not BNet...
But it does the job instead of the £13 hardware token for now. Easy to set up if you follow the instructions from Mog Station. I’ll probably invest in a hardware token if I keep playing.
To those complaining about locking yourself out if you lose / wipe your ios device - on your SE account under ‘One Time Password’ you’ll find an emergency software token removal password, keeps this safe in case you lose / wipe your phone.
Great but be careful
If you want extra security it’s great but you need to be careful when installing an iPhone backup since it can reset the app meaning you are locked out and will have to contact Square Enix
