The app I’ve been looking for
Absolutely brilliant for intermediate Spanish speakers looking to improve. I’ve been a fan of Radio Ambulante for years but only just come across this accompanying app. You listen to the journalistic stories through the app with subtitles (in Spanish or English). You can click on words you don’t understand and it explains them. You can also slow it down and repeat sentences. The only thing that would improve it is to be able to download the saved vocab lists, or at least access them without having to go back to that episode. Thank you for producing this app.
Brilliant
Brilliant app. Perfect fills the gap between being able to understand slow beginner/intermediate Spanish, and being able to understand actual Spanish spoken by locals. I found watching TV shows with subtitles far too overwhelming and fast, but Lupa breaks it down in a really approachable way.
Its easy to stay focussed because the stories are fascinating, and there is enough content on there to last me a 20-30 minute session every day for the next 6-8 months! I tend to do half an episode per day, which is easy to do as it saves your progress wherever you get to.

Fantastic app
I’ve been using Lupa for a while and I would totally recommend it to any intermediate to advanced Spanish learner. Every story gives you a fascinating insight to people’s lives in Latin America. They are really well constructed with a balance between an overview of a subject or issue, and people speaking directly about how their lives are effected. The app is easy to use and breaks the narrative down into manageable chunks. The best app by miles I’ve found for learning Spanish.
