Great Christian Meditation App

I’ve been using this over a month now (not quite daily). It’s definitely helped me connect with God and uncover some stuff in my own heart too. Good if you are trying to introduce new rhythms into your life and pause for a few minutes. Some days will mean more than others as you might expect. Also not everything that comes up is comfortable!! You’ll probably need more than just this app (sessions are short!) but it could inspire you to go deeper and take more time with God. Interested to see how they develop this further. Would like to see some longer sessions perhaps with more spaces for silence and reflection. But just paid for a second month which tells you that I really value this app and the space it helps create for connecting with God.

I warmly recommend this app to anybody starting out on self reflection & contemplation who prefers the Christian path. There are lots of features & topics for meditating on as well as music, sleep stories & the odd, inspiring podcast. I worked with this app for six months & it definitely helped me through a tough time this year (2020). My only & very slight criticism is that none of the meditations last longer than 10 or so minutes & most are shorter than that, which is perfect if you are new to meditation. I would have liked some longer meditations & time within them for silence but I did find a lot of wisdom & helpful tools for daily life, particularly in this year of the virus.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for sharing your experience. We are happy to know that Soultime helped you through a tough time this year. We are constantly working on making Soultime bettr and we will consider adding longer meditations. If you have some other suggestions, don't hesitate to send them to us at support@soultime.com

You whooooooo ,

Good app - some suggestions though

This seems to have been very helpful but can I make a few suggestions.

I would be nice to have a selection of voices to choose from. For example the “sleep” part of the app would work better with a lower calmer male voice.

If your mood is the same - say as one day the previous week - you get the same verses again. This might be ok once or twice as a reminder but it would be better to have different bible verses. Maybe have a number on each topic which don’t repeat too often.

There is a lot of “imagine this or that” in the meditations. Which is ok to a point but I think it needs backing up with solid biblical verses and principles. So that what you are told to imagine, lines up with scripture and the character of God. Otherwise it feels a bit of a pointless exercise.

Unlike some of the other comments I had no issues with the subscription. You just sign up for the free trial then go into Apple subscriptions on the App Store and cancel the sub if you decide not to continue. It’s not hard and it’s not really the developers fault if users are not sure how to manage the App Store subscriptions. Just wanted to point that out.
