If like me you have been a little disappointed with the GivEnergy App in terms of Widgets and complications to quickly see the current status, then this App could be the one you’ve been looking for. It has not only allowed me to add widgets to my iPhone but also add a complication to my Apple Watch. It is a simple premise but the app executes it so well. The App continues to be developed and refined with recent addition of energy balance something even the GivEnergy doesn’t have, so well done to the developer for continuing to add to this great App, thoroughly recommend.
Great App, Great Support
This is a really useful little app, handy for keeping track of solar generation, home consumption and battery level on your phone or watch.
When I had it as a complication on my Apple Watch, it disappeared after an app update. Daniel was really helpful in working out what had happened, and helping me to get it back again. Thank you!

Initially 5 stars but now wanting a subscription
I really like did like app, it was a single one time purchase and I reviewed it as such. However since the initial purchase a subscription service is now required for full functionality. Having read other the developer’s responses such as ‘the cost doesn’t cover the apple’s developer fee’ just doesn’t cut it for me for the service offered. It’s a shame, I’d have much preferred a more expensive initial outlay rather than a continual payment for what in reality is limited functionality. I really want to support small developers but changing over from a one time purchase to a subscription within three weeks of the initial purchase comes across as unfair.

*updating this review to note all existing users prior to the introduction of the new pricing tiers were grandfathered into the lifetime plan for free, eliminating any subscription.
