Snood Original 4+

I've loved Snood since I was a kid in the '90s! While this version resembles the original, it's not perfect. I originally wrote a more snotty review, for some reason it didn’t appear on the app store - but I was going to update it anyway, to be more positive.

The only other written review on the App Store mentions having to have the game in a separate full screen.
I found this originally, and found it really, really annoying. The developer replied to my feedback and said to just click the green button (like you do with any window.) But there was no green button. I couldn’t fathom how to get the buttons to change the window to a size, not a full screen takeover. Only by hovering the cursor at the top of the window did the buttons appear. And lo and behold it works as any normal app window! Which is great!

In the other review below it says you can’t change the background - I found you can do that by pressing B (in 2023.) -

I found the worst thing was actually the flashing/flickering of the icons faces. With the full screen (that I finally managed to escape) the flickering was disturbing my eyes - really distracting & not pleasant to look at. With a custom size, smaller, window it’s not as bad. Though still a little distracting.

A minor groan is the original cheese mulligan is missing in this version, but it’s not the end of the world.

As a Snood enthusiast of many years (since its creation!) I have purchased Snood several times over. My trusty iMac died recently and having bought a Mac Studio as a replacement, I wanted to also replace Snood and found no way of doing so aside from making another purchase from Apple's app store. Biting the bullet and paying for it yet again, I am super disappointed to find that it only plays full screen and with no option to change background etc.. I like to have Snood open as a small window on my desktop. Is there no way of downloading (an earlier version?) with the same options? Can I not restore my earlier purchase and get a refun for this far inferior version?
