Smashing Four is a free to play game and as such it doesn't require you to spend any money to fully enjoy its smashing multiplayer. However, it is possible to buy game currency or special offers using real money via in-app purchases. Currency can be used to acquire products such as Coins, Hero cards or Orbs that may help you progress faster. This does not ensure victories in battles. We do not support 'pay to win' mechanics.

Brilliant game!
This is such a good game for such a simple concept! Really well put together and very addictive. Frustrating at times when the weighting feels off but constant updates try to combat this. The community seems positive as well compared to some others which are a bit toxic.
One suggestion would be in practice arena: to be able to pick the level of opponent characters. If you’re trying out a new squad to see if you want to invest in a character. You have to get them to a high level before you can really assess them. Dropping your opposition level to match would help. Or even like challenges, standardising the level would help.
The Truth
Having played the game for several years I can confirm that the developers have taken a very bad route with the game in order to encourage pay to play. You’ll progress at an extremely slow rate unless you at minimum get the season pass. But in order to not get swamped by unfair team match making you’ll have to pay considerably more. This would be semi acceptable if there was a max level for characters ( so in theory once you’ve maxed a team you’ll not have to worry about facing much higher levels ) you’ll come to realise the devs routinely increase the “Max level “ meaning you’ll never escape the unfair match making forcing you to either play through pain staking matches you know you have no chance against or surrender. I attempted to speak to devs several times being a long time player and find they fob you off with how they’ve made lower level characters better to even if up etc, truth of it is you’ll be pushed towards paying to speed you the process of unfair match making. Game has got good quality’s but take it from a long term player who’s spilling the beans before quitting .
Pay to play, and all games are rigged
If you are considering, then don’t, the games totally rigged, balancing is so poor you have to wait on every game to be matched against a similar squad, rather than be able to play against all hero’s. The elite guys who pay circa £800 per new hero, get to use all other players as cannon fodder, more elitist than your current UK national system. Poor keep getting further away, and the wealthy get to enjoy the game as if it’s their own. The game forces you down the trophies to allow for other players to be able to use you as fodder, and the outcome of each game is decided before it starts. Recently taken over by a Dubai company who specialise in monetising games, from a group that were only interested in the cash cow element, ways to spend on the game have increased without any vision on the rigging/balancing being worked on. Save your well-being and money and leave this junk well alone. Been playing for 5 years and it’s just getting worse. Avoid.
