SmartThings 4+

App has really improved.

It must be close to a year since I last reviewed this app, and I couldn’t bare to use it again because at the time it was just the worst thing I’ve ever used. However, this app has significanly improved and I can’t quite believe it! I only use it for the Washing Machine, and it works so well. As a young person I’m always worried I’m going to mess up the washing some way or other, but the app offers a “Recipe” feature which lets you tell it what clothes are in the machine and it then suggests a cycle to put it on. After a bit of hassle setting up (~15 mins), within a few minutes you can control the washing machine at the touch of a button from your phone and it’s fantastic. The app is easy to use, well-laid out and overall fantastic. It’s clear that a lot of effort has gone into improving this app, because it was originally very, very poor.

Smart thing s my soundbar

A lot better now with this new app around my sound bar still room for more improvements like only signing in once without extra security on for your sound bar and your account as it took me quite a long time before I managed to use SmartThings again are you even look for a new app but now hopefully this will be or is sorted so so I give it the stars. I give it Samsung SmartThings thanks for allowing me to enjoy my music and continue whether an old or new models as it cost a lot of money these days please improve more and continue to update so we can all enjoy the sound at no extra cost thanks again, I will continue to use SmartThings and to enjoy my enjoyment. This is why I enjoy the SmartThings app there’s nothing I dislike but as you know there’s always move for improvement. Thanks again. I’ll give you four stars of five. I always leave one star for improvement a user.

Decent app but why does it miss basics

Invested in a Samsung Family Hub fridge after seeing its many features. One in particular I thought was useful, recipes based on ingredients in the fridge. This could be really useful with just one minor change, however at the moment it’s just a gimmick. I’ve raised this as a ticket but it just got closed with no explanation on the website. The issue is you can only select one ingredient to filter at a time. So if I select “chicken” it shows me list of recipes containing chicken, but I might not have the other ingredients. Instead if you could pick multiple ingredients such as “chicken, peppers, onions” then this feature, and logging all our food in the camera, actually becomes useful. I don’t know why my ticket was closed and this is being ignored, as I’m a developer myself and know this isn’t difficult to implement but would take a gimmick and make it a genuinely useful feature for many users. Please have a look at this for your next update.
