Description

HAVE YOU TAKEN YOUR INHALER? HOW MUCH IS LEFT IN IT?

Blue inhalers save lives. Unless they are empty.
Long after the medication has run out, the propellant keeps puffing.
Smart Rescue will tell you when your blue rescue inhaler is running low or empty.
It will also show how many puffs you needed in the past 90 days. This will help you identify your triggers and help your prescriber optimise your medication.

Brown inhalers also save lives. But have you taken it? How do you know?
Smart Rescue sends reminders to take your medication morning and evening.
And tells you when you last used your inhaler.
You can share your inhaler records with your GP or parent/carer.
Better compliance with preventer medication reduces reliance on reliever inhalers, which is better for your health.

Great product

The app is easy to use. The SmartRescue fits my reliever inhaler. It’s good for tracking reliever
Inhaler usage. I’ve been out and about and realised my inhaler is empty when I had to take it. My mum is asthmatic and she had the same blue reliever inhaler. By using this app I’ll know for sure when my reliever inhalers are empty. It’s easy to put the device onto a new inhaler when one finishes. The technology is amazing that it can check how many puffs you’ve used just by holding the SmartRescue over the back of my iPhone. I never knew the iPhone had that reader. It’s so cool that it knows exactly how many puffs you’ve taken. When I used a new inhaler knowing it had 200 doses, I ’ve counted how many puffs I’ve used and it is accurate. I’d recommend this to other asthmatics.

Does not reliably read inhaler nfcs

I’ve been using this for about a month now and most days when I try to scan my inhaler nfc tag it doesn’t pick it up. I have to close the app and reopen it and then it will read it but sometimes I have to do this a few times. The last few days it won’t read my tags at all!

Timings off

I'm overall happy with how this app works, but even when I wait up to 60 seconds to take a second puff it still says I'm not waiting long enough! It's really frustrating as it's making me feel like I'm doing something wrong!

Also, I feel it would be useful to be able to log why you took your inhaler, such as perfume set me off or I've been ill etc.

Also the Tag doesn't always pick up straight away and I have to restart app to make it work.
