Slideshow Maker Video & Photo 4+

Only moderately useful. Much improved now.

Lacks many features Difficult to use Cannot rearrange slides Not much use at all really. Difficult to use. Doesn’t always save slide shows. Update. Slides can be re arranged by using ‘manage’ button (which I had tried) and then long pressing (which I had not realised was necessary) the slide to be repositioned. Perhaps be useful if the ‘long press’ requirement was more obvious.

Increased to 5 stars as my earlier criticisms have been addressed and several other useful features included

You can rearrange media from the Manage screen. Have you tried tapping the edit button overlaying the video on the bottom left for more features? A text feature will be added soon.

This app is ok but be prepared to be frustrated!

I downloaded this to make a 40th photo video for my brother. After a long day at work I thought I’d make a start and save to continue the next day...unfortunately there is no save option for partly finished videos. You can only save a completed video! (Unless you can but it was not obvious how!) you can imagine my frustration when after an hour of choosing and editing photos, my work was gone. This happened a few times, a couple was because I came out of the app and when I went back in, it didn’t save.
I would recommend selecting your photos /videos in the order you want them to appear, because although you can move them later, it’s time consuming moving photos from the bottom to the top, plus the photo squares with a delete “x” are sensitive so I accidentally deleted a couple and had to restart-upload them.

Luckily I managed to complete my video in the three day trial and was able to cancel the subscription. If the issues above didn’t happen, I would have paid the annual fee because I think it’s reasonable but only if the app was efficient.

Excellent app, but dodgy adverts

I’ve been impressed with this app. I got good results quickly with the free version, and have upgraded to the premium product. However, I very nearly didn’t because at least one of the free app adverts was dishonest and maybe dangerous. The display announced that my iPhone memory was full, and it wouldn’t work until I downloaded the advertised app to put things right. That was utter nonsense, and it would be extremely easy to be taken in by it and find yourself downloading an unneeded app of dubious provenance. Disappointing!
I’d like to be able to score it 5* for function and -1* for dishonest adverts.
