Works well so far
The app is free to download and use in low resolution (480) with no further input. I found that it connected automatically with my 5-year old Sony Bravia with no problems once I had figured out the sequence of commands (not hard). Of course, 480 is pretty rubbish so the proof of the pudding will be when I unlock HD after placing this review :-)
Needs chromecast to work.
It doesn’t mention in the description that chromecast is needed for the app to work. I don’t use chromecast, I simply want an app that will allow me to screen mirror my iPhone to my Samsung BDF6500 smart blu ray player which uses AllShare. All the apps in the App Store have to be paid for which is why I tried this one. Alas there aren’t any apps that will let you try them without automatically signing you up to a subscription.
