Clear, simple, easy to use.

The App contains all the basic information that you should need to review and manage your pension. There is some functionality that isn’t there yet, but is hopefully coming (eg ability to switch funds) but this can be accessed in other ways.

One star removed as for some reason the App now needs to have the password entered every time it’s used. Not fatal but surely fingerprint/face recognition should be possible as it used to be before I assume it was lost in an update!

Thanks for the feedback. Biometrics (Face / Touch ID) will launch in early 2023. Along with extra functionality and pension information. Hopefully that'll win back that star?

App no longer working & no update

This was not a bad app until some work was done over the weekend. Tried to access it today only to be met with a a message that ‘this app is no longer supported’ and needs an update via the App Store. A link is provided but no update is available - only an ‘Open’ option, which sends me back to the unsupported message. I tried to contact you via your chat but this is a bot and doesn’t understand. Please review and resolve the app problem, thanks. I have downgraded the rating as currently it just isn’t working. Otherwise would be 3 stars as info available but no calculator or significant functionality, for which one has to go via the website.

We're very sorry that you weren't able to access our app earlier this week. We've fixed the problem now and you can download the latest version to get online.

We really appreciate hearing how we can improve the app. There is a feedback option if you go to the profile section from the home screen. We'd love to get your thoughts on what we would need to do to win that 5 star rating!

Beyond basic and questionable security

I don’t understand where all of the 5 star reviews are coming from. This app looks like it might have been put together as a hobby project or by an intern. It is clearly a box ticking exercise to say they have an app. Maybe it was thrown together at the end of the year because someone’s bonus depended on it.

Apparently it’s enough to have a one time user name and password to access it. A financial app without Face ID or 2FA is broken. (It does match the Scottish Widows website so I should not be surprised.) On the plus side the app is so pointless that you can’t do anything beyond look at a balance so there’s not so much to keep secure in the first place.

A pension is too important to have managed in this way. Time to transfer.
