Schiphol top class all so easy

Totally useless if your a traveler

I don’t want to be chased around with glib information that doesn’t answer my question.

I expect a precise and direct answer to my question;
“Where can I find some pipe tobacco.”

Try it out and you will soon realise the site is made by people who have never been outside their office, or don’t know what a unfamiliar traveler wants. No wonder thousand of people are aimlessly milling around, and everything comes to a grind.

Nice pictures, though. But that doesn't answer the question.

Does NOT offer live security waiting times

Simply says “not available”, presumably to cover up the horrendous wait times.

Unlike the UK which allows EU citizens to use e-gates, Schiphol does not reciprocate and so UK citizens face huge immigration queues.

So waiting times pretty important….

Useless for real time information

Don’t bother using this app for real time information because you simply won’t get it. Delayed departure times. Gate changes. Very annoying.

Used to be great now won’t open

This has always been a great app, usually many minutes ahead of airline comms or board info. But after recent update, it won’t open. Looking forward to the fix!!

Absolute pointless app

App is not kept up to date. Had a 2 and a half hour delay on my flight. App was saying on time. Absolutely pointless app.

Painful

Schiphol is my home airport and as I fly from there most weeks this should be the perfect app for me, it isn't.

My grievance starts with the fact that the login I have on the main Schiphol site (to set up flight delay alerts) does not work with the app; so much for integration.
However, the biggest annoyance is that I have to enter all my flight details in the most laborious way possible. Pretty much every travel app out there understands the three letter codes for airports (e.g. AMS for Amsterdam) but not this one, you have to enter the name of each airport in full. Choose the option for a return flight and you have to enter the airport name again, that's right the app does not remember where you flew to. OK you might not be returning from the same airport but the app could at least pre-populate the field and give an option to edit it.

Come on Schiphol, get your act together.

Updates?

Sorry but how this got top reviews is beyond me. No updates on my flight. Past flying time and it still says it's on time! Sends me to a closed gate. Rubbish

App is nice.

Thats all there is to say about Schippol. Worst security ever. No common sense

New app is a massive downgrade!

Don't understand why they changed a perfectly good app and made it this basic and useless! The old app had more up to date data than the departures boards and would send notifications of changes. The new app is slow, data is not updated as quickly, doesn't send notifications even though they are turned on & looks extremely basic. Generally isn't very useful!
