Love this game, BUT
I have played this game for years now, especially the team tournaments and have enjoyed them very much. Then, for the past few months, I have had so much trouble with the app. Firstly, my avatar suddenly changed for no apparent reason and I cannot get my old one back and now, I regularly get flickering screens just as I begin a game and also have had many incidents of screen freeze. I then have to delete and re-load the app which messes up almost all of my stats. Please fix these problems and I will be a very happy person. Normally, I would give a 5 star rating, but since having all these problems, I can only give 4 stars at a push now.
Still great
I’ve been playing Ruzzle for many years and it’s still my favourite game. The one to one games are still the best, although I’m finding it harder to win these days - perhaps it’s because I’m getting old! It’d be good to have extra skill levels (or whatever they’re called) - the highest has been stuck on 60 for years now. The weekly competitions are fun, but the prizes aren’t good enough in terms of coins won. What’s the point in using 50 coins for a boost if it could only help you move up one place and gain 25 coins at the end of the week? The “Events” that they put on every few days are a bit dumb too. It’s obvious that it’s not real opponents, as the scores are always too close to what I get and you can’t see what words they guessed. Have recently got into the team games. I’m not sure if the opponents there are real either, but it’s a good way of using up those chips that I’ve been accumulating over the years.
Terrible update
I have been a RUZZLE fanatic for years. Suddenly, very recently an upgrade has automatically changed the whole game AND my perception of it. The only thing that remains the same is the one-on-one player games, but coins are no longer accrued from these games thus there is no way to play in a weekly tournament without either watching endless ads or BUYING coins. Why did I pay for the ad-free version when it is now such an integral part of the process ( unless you want to hand over cash on a repeat basis).
Communication with RUZZLE powers that be have left me empty. They don’t care.
My recommendation? DON’T download this game, look for something else, less mercenary and more willing to listen to their customer base.
By the way ..... you are required to use a nickname before posting. Every single one I have tried is claimed to “being used already”. I suspect it’s because it’s a one star review.
Just to see, I am going to keep adding stars using the same nickname to see what happens! Watch this space,
