Royal Enfield App - EMEA 4+

Could be great, but needs a lot of work.

RE have shown they care about their customers. But this app seems to have fallen through the cracks.

We need a way to import GPX files. I don’t always want to go from A to B, sometimes I want the mountain roads and hidden spots along the way. They should check Beeline as a good example of this.

Ok ish…!

This really could be good with some minor changes. It works off Google maps so in theory should work a treat. Best however you download from Google the area you are travelling to in case you lose signal - which happens often in North Yorkshire. The connection sequence each time you start up requires you to manually connect the phone to the app within a minute or so of switching on the bike - otherwise it won’t connect and you have to switch off and on again. Sometimes unless you go past an exact waypoint it thinks you have missed it and consequently is forever sending you back to that waypoint. It doesn’t appear to get the hint you don’t want to go back and just want to get to your destination - as most sat navs do. As a basic tool to get you from A to B or get you home if you’re lost it’s ok. But it could be so much better.

Dated app but okay

The app is okay but is missing things like, showing the current speed limit of the area your riding through. Waze which also uses Google maps can do this, also the app could do with a poi for speed cameras! The uk and Europe is full of the things…. Like the title says it feels like some sort of dated navigator that needs a few tweaks. Other than that it’s very useful and easy to use and understand when riding. I particularly like that you can switch off your bike and when to turn back on, you can resume the ride via the chosen route, and don’t have to re-enter it. It’s nice to keep your phone dry in a pocket of your jacket or bag and still get the directions.
