RHS Grow has both free and paid for features. You can download RHS Grow and enjoy the free version, or sign up to our monthly or yearly subscription to access all features. All subscriptions start with a free trial period. Once the free trial has ended, RHS Grow is £3.99 a month or £39.99 a year (16% saving). You can cancel your subscription any time.

Useless plant search function
I was interested in finding out which plants may be suitable for my garden so tried to use the plant search function. This literally has only 3 criteria - plant type, soil type and sunlight level. I completed this as herbaceous perennial, clay and partial sun - I got over 11,000 results and no means of further narrowing this down. How is that supposed to be helpful? I wanted to specify flower colour, flowering season, evergreen, size etc.

Disappointed
As a life member of the rhs i totally assumed that I had full access to all the features of this app. All day I kept coming back to try a different way to find where I put my membership number in to unlock all the features. But just now I’ve read the feedback given to another life member and I now realise I do not in fact have the access at all. Very disappointing.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed that there is a separate cost to use the full use of the RHS Grow app.
Whilst RHS Grow is separate from RHS Membership, you still have all of the original features with your membership, including a brilliant Garden subscription magazine which is available in paper format or digitally, early access to purchase show tickets, access to the seed scheme annually, partner gardens and of course free access to all of our five main RHS gardens. You also have access to our advisory team should you have any gardening queries, such as asking them to identify a plant for you.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support.
