Description

The app for remote control of an iPhone/iPad camera using another iPhone/iPad. The two devices use peer-to-peer Wi-Fi, which allows the devices to communicate directly, even if they are not on the same Wi-Fi infrastructure network. This technology is used by AirPlay, AirDrop, etc. In other words, Internet access or a Wi-Fi router is NOT needed. The maximum distance at which a connection can be maintained between two devices is about 20 foot.

The app allows you to select a camera (if the device has several cameras), manually configure the camera, including the frame rate. The frame rate of the device acting as a screen is also adjustable. By reducing the frame rate, you can reduce energy consumption and, therefore, battery life. This is especially important if you are using a very old iPhone/iPad with a weak battery as a screen.

The app can work on iOS 12 and newer. This makes it possible to use old iPhones starting with the iPhone 5S and newer as a screen.

IMPORTANT!!! Use the newest iPhone/iPad of the two as a camera. New devices prepare frames for sending MUCH more efficiently, with less power consumption and less heat generation. This is the reason for the very low maximum possible frame sending rate if an old device is used as a camera. The old device may even turn off due to overheating and display a corresponding message. If you still want to use the old device as a camera for long-term surveillance, then select the mode for shooting video and select a video format with a small frame size (for example, 360p) in the app settings. To take photos, select the photo mode for a short time.

IMPORTANT!!! When using the app to inspect dirty, hard-to-reach areas (like the underbody of a car), put the iPhone case on and place the iPhone in a small (the size of the iPhone in the case) clear zip-lock bag. Use the thinnest bags as they are the most transparent.

IMPORTANT!!! The inspected mechanisms should not be hot. For example, to damage an iPhone, it is enough to bring the iPhone a short distance to a heated exhaust pipe of a car. The air in the inspected volume should not be heated and should not contain substances or microorganisms that can harm a person or iPhone.

The app can be used without a second device, for taking photos and videos with manual camera settings.

Camera settings can be saved. The settings are saved to a file that is saved in the folder of this app, which can be opened using the built-in "Files" app. The settings file can be copied and transferred to another iPhone/iPad. After adding or replacing the settings file, the app must be restarted. When replacing the settings file with another file, the previous settings are deleted. If, when saving the settings, the exposure and white balance are in automatic mode, then the exposure and white balance are saved with fixed values, and when you select this setting, the automatic mode for exposure and white balance is disabled. If, when saving the settings, the automatic mode is disabled for exposure or white balance, then only the settings for which the automatic mode is disabled are saved. Settings are memorized when you touch the "Save settings" menu item, that is, BEFORE entering the name of the setting and touching the "Save" button. You can use emoji in the names of saved settings. In the list of saved settings, swipe the cell to the left to rename, delete or view the saved values. Touch and hold a cell to move the cell up or down.
