About this app

To be able to use the REFUEL-MS app, you will need a registration invite email from a REFUEL-MS healthcare professional.

Living with multiple sclerosis (MS) and fatigue can be frustrating, isolating, and difficult to manage. As many as 90% of people living with MS have fatigue, but very few people have access to effective treatments for their fatigue.

That’s where REFUEL-MS comes in.

Developed using the most up-to-date evidence, researchers at King’s College London, people with MS and leading MS research collaborators across other institutions have created REFUEL-MS to help you manage your MS fatigue, your way.

REFUEL-MS is co-funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research Programme Grant for Applied Research (PGfAR) funding stream (NIHR203290) and the UK MS Society.

With the help of your REFUEL-MS healthcare professional, you will focus on reducing your fatigue by:
• Improving your understanding of MS fatigue and how it impacts you.
• Creating a consistent routine of activity and rest.
• Deciding how you want to treat your fatigue by choosing a REFUEL-MS ‘stream’ that suits you.

The three REFUEL-MS streams offer different ways of reducing your MS fatigue:
1. Thoughts, Feelings & Actions helps you to change how you think, feel, and respond to your MS fatigue, so that you can do more of the things that matter to you.
2. Let’s Get Moving supports you to move more, in ways that suit your body, your MS, and your lifestyle.
3. Balance My Way focuses on improving your balance so that you can do your everyday activities more easily.

Throughout REFUEL-MS, you will complete sessions, set goals, track your progress, and meet with your REFUEL-MS healthcare professional to guide you through the programme.

REFUEL-MS is an app for people living with MS and fatigue who are looking for additional support and guidance on managing their MS fatigue.
