Great content terrible app
The Coverage is fantastic when the app is working but every rally there’s signing in issues with various devices not letting you access the all live content so you spend most the weekend complaining via emails trying to get your access back rather then actually watching live content you’ve paid a fortune for.
I also have a pet gripe that the previous versions would let you re watch the onboards on the TV apps but now they’ve been removed and you can only watch them on desktop which I don’t do, I predominantly watch on my TV so now I am missing out on content, I used to love going back and watching at least 1 onboard of every stage but now I can’t because they’ve removed them.
I am a massive WRC fan and it pains me that I’ve had to cancel my subscription because I can’t handle the frustration of seeing the wrong license errors every time I settle in to watch a stage. I’ve been subscribed since they very first released it years ago but it’s just not feasible anymore with the state of the app and at over a tenner a month for 1 or 2 rally’s i except to actually be able to watch.
Hopefully they fix the gremlins so I can enjoy the amazing coverage Becksy and the team bring the WRC.
Downloads please
I love the wrc and this app is the most direct access to watching, these days. I like the idea that i can catch up whenever i want. The problem is that the reality doesn’t live up to the idea! My only down-time between work and family, is during my commute, and everyone knows, mobile signal/data is useless on a train at the best of times. So trying to steam a video is next to impossible. Please please please, why cant highlights be downloadable? Even if the download has a time limit, at least i could download at home, and then watch later. Im paying for this app and not able to watch, so going to have to unsubscribe if this cant be done.
Expensive, glitchy but all we’ve got
Great content but the app rarely functions smoothly. There are reviews on here from several years ago highlighting the issues which haven’t been addressed (Too many successive login attempts, no live update section, only 10 times possible via app, no download option, and footage that regularly cuts out when watching live). In the uk there is no other option to follow live so have to pay the extortionate subscription. WRX has also gone from the app which doesn’t bother me but will mean others are getting less value for money
