Gazetteer contains information concerning the geographical makeup, history, political
and administrative setup, demography, economy, art and culture, Social Statistics and
physical features of their region.
This app is designed with an objective of providing a virtual library for district gazetteer
and to enhance knowledge about Rajasthan to the inhabitants and other people. With
the help of this app it became very easy to get the access of these Gazetteers.
It depicts all the important facts regarding the district via covering its history,
geographical features, social life, agriculture, industrial scenario, banking system,
administration, education, medical and health facilities available in the district, economy,
rituals, its art and culture etc.
Each District Gazetteer is divided into 18 to 20 chapters in order to cover all the
important aspects of the region as described above and you can also find annexure
showing the trends and important data in reference to these districts.
The Gazetteers of 30 districts (48 in numbers including Hindi version of some districts)
which was published by the Planning (Manpower) Department are also available on the
website of Economics and Statistics department of the Rajasthan State.
