Reviews:
“Buy it for an unforgettable taste of bona fide battlefield chaos. Buy it for the edginess it engenders so effortlessly. Buy it for those dry-lipped “Say again?”s that never get answered.”

“In many ways, I’d say Radio Commander is one of the most immersive games I’ve played in 2019.”

“As you get wrapped up in the story, the outcome of missions becomes incredibly tense. I can’t remember a simple “move” order in a strategy game ever being so heart-wrenching, as you sit idly by for minutes at a time (you can speed things up with a timelapse clock, though), waiting to hear back from units, or order a platoon into combat only to be met with silence.”

Ratings and Reviews

Saw the review and realised this was a fairly new game so gave it a chance considering there’s not many games or any like it and really like how the mechanics of the game present it self.
I was abit underwhelmed to begin with, its got a good story line to it but it seems unfortunate that it was the games aim and not the actual game play itself. Like the previous review mentioned the grid references are hard to distinguish, the voice over from the controller that the player plays is often annoying and I opted to switch that off. The idea is such an amazing concept, but not gone really to plan by my opinion.
Often as the controller in the control room you get sucked in to the what ifs and what is the best options which the game does deliver on, but the actual mechanics is abit sloppy. It really is a very innovative idea that however does need some more work to it.
The mode that doesn’t follow the campaign/story is pretty useless and unimpressive which is a shame because after the campaign mode is completed the game is pretty non existing.
None the less is it wourth the money, I would say yes. The time spent on it on all 9 missions was enjoyable yet frustrating, a few hours spent on it and actually did enjoy it.
Overall I think the developers need to go back to the drawing board on this one, the idea is so unique it would be such a shame to leave it how it is.
Not bad but could improve
I was really excited about this coming out on iOS but was a tad disappointed once downloaded. The game could do with tutorial to ease new players in and better graphics to see grid references on the map, numbers just become blurred when you enlarge the screen.
Once those are sorted this could end up being a great game
Good idea poorly executed
Spent more time battling clunky interface and iffy mission scripting than Victor Charlie. Radio chatter is robotic and repetitive, which is unfortunate for a game called Radio Commander.
