Very good selection

A great app with a fine selection of games. I don’t play them all, preferring crosswords wordy and the like. However of late some of the adverts within the games are getting longer and longer and is beginning to a bit of a joke! For example when I started using the app the adverts played out over about 30 seconds. The length of the adverts have risen in time to a point where not only they are approaching 2 minutes long,they are boring and I tend to switch off. Not only the length of time has increased to exit X has got smaller and smaller almost to a point where you cannot see it! It wouldn’t be so bad but on occasions it can take upto 10 hits to register and each time you miss you are taken back a screen to see part of the advert, now that is getting beyond a joke. Come on game writers/owners, if you think that getting people to watch an advert over long periods of time will encourage to download the game I think you are being illusory. Bear in mind there are I am sure many who have already downloaded a game and are forced to watch the add! I think extending the times will be counter productive, please go back to a simple short time advert
I have given the app 5 stars as I think it rates that, but I would only give the adds 1 star as they are going over the top timewise

Thanks for your feedback. We appreciate ads can be a little frustrating but they support us in regularly bringing new features and content to the game. We limit how often ads are shown and ensure that they can always be skipped. Please refer to the in-game help for more information on how you can disable ads or report ads that are not allowing you to skip correctly.

Love it more than ever

I’ve been playing this app for a couple of years now and I love it more and more as time goes on and improvements are made. I used to be a non-subscriber at the beginning. But now I do subscribe. This was not a decision taken lightly as I am on a very fixed income. But this app gives me everything I want from my puzzling hobbies, colouring desires and even mathematical hankerings as there is so much variety. So, I do not bother buying any puzzle mags or other things that I can get from this app at all. Now, any money I would have spent on myself has gone towards this hobby instead - my “one stop shop” - very possibly saving me money in the long run.

I love the March 2020 update. The app never freezes or glitches, so technically it is sound. The aesthetics are attractive and the variety is vast. However, I would be interested if they start doing the Logic puzzles (where you have clues to help you plot the cross table matching each axis’ item with the other sections). Thank you for this app; it’s a lovely treat that I rely on to help me cope with and calm down from my Generalised Anxiety Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. A few minutes on this app and that black fog of emotions starts to settle.

Puzzles great - token system flawed!

Honestly if it weren’t for the great range of puzzles & straightforward gameplay interfaces I would absolutely switch to another app. The token system seems deliberately designed to make the free version as unplayable as possible and therefore force people to subscribe. You run out of tokens very quickly as each puzzle costs 10-20 tokens to play (so you can use 60-80 tokens on a single page), you very rarely get tokens through gameplay, and you can only earn 5 tokens at a time through watching ads which makes it very slow and annoying to earn back enough tokens to actually use the app for a decent length of time, let alone complete an entire page.

Meanwhile I have thousands of coins that I don’t need, so here’s a suggestion for the developers - why not, in addition to the in app purchases, offer an in-game exchange system where you can “buy” tokens using coins (e.g. spend 1000 coins and get 100 tokens or something)? There are plenty of other perks to subscribing so I’m sure the people who really want to subscribe still would, but those of us who can’t or don’t want to spend £5.99 a month on a puzzle app can still actually use it? Otherwise if you’re so desperate to get people to spend money on the app why not cut the pretense and just make it a paid app in the first place instead of offering a free version that becomes borderline unusable after a couple of days of regular use!
