Any time I try to go into the app to check my journeys etc it just crashes and boots me out of the app, very irritating.

This app does an ok job of measuring your performance as a driver. However it does absolutely nothing in the way of teaching you to improve.
It gives you ratings in 4 categories; Duration, Time of Day, Speeding and Eco driving.
Firstly, the measuring of duration is often fine. However just yesterday I went for 3 seperate journeys with roughly an hour in between each and these were all counted as one journey. So for about an hour and a half of driving between the 3 journeys resulted in my journey being 4 hours long.
Secondly, while all other metrics are self explanatory, “eco driving” is so vague. The app says that it involves your acceleration, braking and cornering. I have never known anyone to score more than 3 stars. I have spent months consciously changing my driving habits to try and score higher in eco driving and it has had absolutely no effect. This is because I honestly have no idea what I’m doing wrong. The app doesn’t even tell you which of the 3 that the problem is with. Even then besides cornering they are ridiculous metrics to be as harsh as they are on it. When joining a road which is at the urban speed limit I was always told by my instructor to get to 45 as soon as possible. Not to mention braking which 9 times out of 10 the reason your braking is because another person on the road pulled in front of you or an animal runs out across the road etc. using it to measure your quality as a driver is completely unfair as most of the time it is completely not your fault.
Overall as I said the app does an ok job at measuring your statistics (other than duration) but is completely unhelpful at improving you as a driver. It’s the same as taking an exam and being given your marks without being told what you got wrong. How are you supposed to improve without knowing what it is that’s lowering your score? Ridiculous.
