Simply brilliant!

Forget the rest, I’ve tried them. If you want an app that’s versatile enough to cope with many different scoring formats incl. the LTA’s Fast 4 format with its no ad format, then this is the app for you. It doesn’t use a subscription model like many of the new apps coming out, so while the initial outlay seems pricey, it’s better value than the others. Yes it takes a little practice to use but you can do that watching matches on YouTube. If you make a mistake there is an option to undo, and also options for missed points and games. You can even switch server ends which is something juniors get frequently wrong after a tiebreak. The interface in this app looks a little dated and the menu system is bespoke, but there simply is no better app in my opinion. We’ve learnt loads about my player from their matches , not to mention their opponents! Can’t recommend highly enough. P.s. Recent update is great - thanks for keeping developing this.

Tried a lot of apps

Hi,

Is there a way to get a subscription which is cheaper for a month to try out? I have twins who play a lot and keen on trying out this app as other apps in the market don't track the shots. The demo didn't complete the match and took a while to get the details on. Would be great to get a complimentary month and share the help on Instagram as well!

To try out the app in full I suggest you purchase a few match-credits, then if you find it useful you can either purchase more credits in bulk or get the outright version. ProTracker Tennis is not expensive, in particular compared with the other costs in Tennis.

Too difficult

Nice concept but too difficult to use for real time stats capturing. Also too complicated. Would be good with a bit of refining.

The app does take a bit of practice to become proficient, but when you do have the skill it is quite easy to keep up with a match. Our many thousands of users will testify to that.

Here are a few tips:

- turn off Return-of-Serve tracking initially (from the Settings screen)

- make full use of the default shot outcome facility. To record an 'In' serve or return just tap once where the ball lands and look back at the play. To put in a different outcome, such as an 'Ace', you can use Tap-and-move and then select the outcome from the list

- some users prefer not to tap in the serves and returns as they are played, but instead remember where the ball bounces and tap them in with the key shot at the end of the point

- don't worry about missing the odd serve, return or point, if you click the Missed Shot or Point option the stats aren't affected too much.
