Description
Introducing Pikaslice, a comprehensive slicing solution for both Resin/MSLA and Filament/FFF 3D printers on the mobile platform. Effortlessly import your 3D models, adjust their orientation and layout, apply manual or automatic supports, examine your scene for islands, and export your work to an extensive range of supported Resin/MSLA and Filament/FFF 3D printers.
While the use of an Apple Pencil is highly recommended, it is not mandatory. To transfer the exported files to a thumb drive (and subsequently to your printer), you'll need an adapter, such as USB-C to USB-A, depending on your specific iPad and thumb drive model.
Please note that this app is compatible with a variety of resin MSLA, DLP, and FFF/Filament 3D printers (see the list within the app).

Ratings and Reviews
Help function is limited
The app is great so far and works great with the ipad pencil. However, im struggling to work out how to send files to print and the help function just provides info on supports, hollow, drain holes etc
Developer Response ,
You need an adapter on your device that accepts the thumb drive you're using on your 3D printer. Then you can slice directly to that drive or use the Apple Files app to move the file to it. Let me know if you have questions here via email etc.
The app currently doesn't support transfer via e.g. WiFi as manufacturers have not opened up those API's so far. But if one does, I'd LOVE to add it to the app.
Needs work but glad to have a slicer programme for the iPad.
On the plus side it’s very easy to use and can handle complex models with ease. Everything is well designed and laid out for you from choosing the right printer and resin settings to various types of supports, hollowing etc just what we need to get the job done.
On the minus side I’ve found the programme very buggy and crashes on a regular basis, each time corrupting the save also, so I would have at any given time multiple saves as at one point it crashed three times in a row and corrupted three saves.
Also the two prints I’ve produced so far on the anycubic m3 max have come out in reverse, the second print did not have the holes that I had put into the model so it came out hollow with a quarter of resin sealed inside.
I’ve not had any issues with this printer before and going back to my other pc slicer programme afterwards all was fine again with multiple print's
When slicing for the anycubic photon mono x the printer wouldn’t recognise the file even tho the correct one was selected.
Having used for sometime pc based slicing programmes it’ s great to finally have one that I can use anywhere with the iPad.
I shall return to Pikaslice in a few months to see all the improvements.
Developer Response ,
It would be great if you could send me an email with a short description of what you did in the scene before saving so I can reproduce and fix the issue. Maybe even the file you were using via email or Google Drive/DropBox/etc. Which file version did you have selected for the Mono X (should be version "1" in most cases)?
My Printer Not Supported
There really should be a supported printer list somewhere, on a link to a web page for example, so we don't have to go through all the rigamarole of installing the app, trying to add a printer profile to discover there are only three makes supported out-of-the-box, then importing a load more, and then find it's not there. That's 15 minutes I'll never get back!
