Pdb App: Personality & Friends 12+

The app is very clean, it looks great, but it’s also quite different to the website.
The website was quite simple, very easy to use, it was obvious how to do what.
The app, however, isn’t as obvious. For starters I can’t currently vote on the app!
There also isn’t a place where I can edit my profile, which is irritating as some people’s MBTI can change quite frequently.
Overall, it’s got a nice look, very good layout, but I’d suggest maybe a tour of where to get everything and how to do thing on the app, due to it being different to the website that everyone knows and loves. That’s honestly the only bad thing with the app, other than that it’s very good and I love it a lot!

Why is the app behaving like a dating service when the minimum age is 13? Dating apps should be 18+. Please don’t compromise the app’s integrity for profit. As a married woman, I don’t feel very comfortable using it. The app’s focus seems to shift away from personality and caters more to a young, single audience who often lack knowledge about typology and use it for other reasons. Many users don’t type people, and when they do, it’s usually based on consensus. It’s become about dating. Even if that’s not the apps intention, it is 100% what it has become, I’m in no doubt. Also I’m receiving countless likes daily, mostly from males, despite having “open to new friends” turned off because I don’t want friendship in this way! It is not that I’m against friendship. The likes going into an inbox-style request folder is odd. I don’t like opening the app when people are around as it opens on the connect page which looks like I’m on a dating app, which is embarrassing! It would be better if it opened on the personalities page. Also I don’t like the classic version as much. I like certain aspects like having a profile, character card etc.

I feel like most of these reviews are from ppl who have been on the website for a while and are judging the app purely by functionality (which is pretty good already anyway) and not by the content itself. I really love this app - I love the community especially, such as the PDBC board, as it’s truly addicting and a special place to be, because the community is relatively small so everyone knows everyone else. It can be a bit intense at times, but so can everywhere online! I’ve tried joining similar online communities such as Reddit and they’re just not as good. The typology itself can be inaccurate at times, but there are still hundreds of people who are incredibly knowledgable about typology, which more than balances it out. So overall, it’s a fabulous app, with good functionality, a terrific community and a great way to find out more about yourself.
