Amazing customer service.

As you may see from other reviewers, amazing customer service. They use whatsapp to communicate, and normally reply within a matter of hours if hour lucky, but definitely within 3days, which is there official reply time.

Because I have only been using pave for a short amount of time, I have not seen major results but, there credit limit system is great, although I have not used it, due to not wanting to be relient on it, it still notifies me if I may not have enough to pay bills.

All and all, a great service.

Pave Plus Doesn’t Work

Pave finally released Pave plus after a year or more saying it was coming soon, however now that it’s been made available to upgrade to on the app, it doesn’t actually work. Having pressed the ‘Upgrade to Pave Plus’ I then went through another few steps like agreeing to the terms and credit agreement, however after ticking the box to confirm I agree and pressing ‘Continue’, I am greeted with a message saying ‘One moment while we upgrade your subscription…’ having waited and waited and waited my subscription never gets upgraded and the app freezes on that screen without going any further. Another family member who
is with Pave is experiencing the same issues as me, so I know it’s likely a glitch in the app for everyone trying to apply for Pave Plus. Shouldn’t really be releasing a major feature before checking if it actually works in the first place.

Customer service is good, however, generally the way that it works is absolutely useless. They help to avoid your account going below £0 by providing withdrawal options, but do not provide enough for you to cover a priority bill. They also do not take into consideration what the balance of your account actually needs to cover, (i.e. FOOD SHOP), so the withdrawal option is pointless. If I have £70 in my account and my phone bill is £56, they only offer a small amount to withdrawal, for instance £8, which then means you have £6 left - if your account balance is LOW mid-month how are you supposed to buy essential items like food? Absolutely useless and do not agree with how it works. It’s much better to actually plan and budget, to ensure you have enough money yourself to cover bills and not rely on Pave.

Hi there. Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that the structure of our Bills Protection feature does not suit your current needs. I'd be happy to provide some information on what Bills Protection is and what it aims to do.

Subject to eligibility, Bills Protection is designed to help with certain types of recurring bills that have been paid on time every month for the past 6 months either via standing order, direct debit or card payment. Whilst food shopping is an important expense, this does not fall under the category of bills can be covered by Bills Protection.

As for the available amount, we typically offer the difference between your bank balance and the amount of the eligible bill. This amount is offered to you 1-2 days before the due date of the bill.

For example, if your bank balance today is £70 and you have a £100 bill due tomorrow, we will offer £30. However, if your balance is £70 and your bill is only £75, we will only offer £5; and if your balance is £70 and your bill is £56, we will not offer a withdrawal because your balance is sufficient.

Whilst Bills Protection is a great addition to the unique features available at Pave, it is important to note that our core service is still credit building and not lending. Credit building is available to all Lite and Plus members, regardless of whether or not they used our Bills Protection feature.
