Description
OfflineAI is the 100% On-Device, 100% Private LLM (Large Language Model) that collects no user-data whatsoever.
This Offline AI Chat Companion runs a local private LLM on your device anonymously without requiring any Internet connection.
The local LLM is included inside the App bundle. Once the App is installed, it can be taken on trips to places without any connectivity at all - your Offline AI Companion will be able to chat with you about any and all things, broadly speaking.
Important info - Please note:
- OfflineAI uses a generative AI model which may produce inaccurate information. Use at your own discretion.
- For best performance use OfflineAI with the latest iPhone Pro modes or a device equipped with an A14 Bionic chip or later e.g. iPhone 12 series and up.
- The iPhone XS series and essentially anything below the iPhone 12 series will be incompatible with OfflineAI and Metal 3 - which is required for OfflineAI to run AI models directly on the device.

Perfect for no Internet use cases
I needed a ChatGPT alternative for a camping trip where I didn’t have a usable online connection. Offline AI was exactly that.
Very slow
It’s very slow to answer. It takes like 20 seconds to type one word. I understand that it may be a little slower because of the lack of internet but 20 seconds per word is ridiculous. Please fix this for a higher rating
Crashing problems

Hi, Does your device happen to be a model below that of the iPhone 13 series? If so, it may be the case that your iPhone/iPad is not in the compatible range unfortunately. This app requires a certain RAM spec (see the App Store listing description) to be able to run the on-device LLM.
