The app gives you instant access to a virtual mouse and keyboard, which makes it simple for you to enter your username and password into game services like Steam®, Blizzard® Battle.net®, and Uplay™.

To get started, connect your iPhone or iPad to the same network as your SHIELD.

Copy / Paste
Do you how annoying it is not to be able to paste a password into a text field on this app? Answer - VERY! How on earth can this app not support this when we are forever being asked to use more complex passwords which are difficult to guess and which we need to copy and paste onto the Shield TV? Please, for the love of all that is holy, implement this now.
Pretty good
The physical remote broke and the cheap replacement I bought was useless so I’ve been solely using this app to control my Shield for around a year and I’m very happy with it.
The only problem I have is the design of the app places the stop/start and Forward/Reverse buttons at the very bottom of the iPhone screen so most times I swipe up to close the app it pauses what I’m watching. Apart from that I think the app works very well.
Works!
Since the latest upgrade this is so much better than the original remote as supplied with the shield. All the functions work seamlessly and apps are also shown on the screen. Trackpad inclusion means there is no need to navigate with the game controller. I’ve put away the two remotes and just using my phone. It just works!
