Welcome to NexTrain, your source for live UK train status updates.
Have you ever stood at the end of a platform, wondering whether your train might be late, not being able to see the display board? Left your glasses at home and can't read the screens? Ever been in a crowded station standing by the gates for platform 3 to get your favourite seat, knowing your train normally leaves from there but you can't see the board so you're not sure? Still in the office, wondering if you should make a run for it?
We have the answer! NexTrain brings the station display board right to you, minute by minute, using the same train updates that power the display boards themselves - National Rail Enquiries. Our goal is to bring you the same experience you can benefit from at the platform, but in your hand.

Great Handy Wee App.
Love the app. which gives you the information you need when you’re about to walk round for a train or planning which one to get and how long it is until the next one showing whether it’s on time or delayed.
Very accommodating developer as well who is very open to ideas for updates.
Delighted CRS search has been added already in an update.
Not perfect, but a neat gimmick
Seeing live upcoming departures is available in most apps or websites, but it's never displayed with an authentic looking departure screen aesthetic like this. Sadly, it's not perfect, as most of the views do not include the train operator, or only include the operator as part of the scrolling text at the bottom, which isn't accurate to the real boards. In fact, that limitation makes me unlikely to use this at actual stations since knowing the operator is necessary for the tickets around here (Crewe to London tickets especially) and a disambiguation between fast and slow trains departing at the same time is sometimes necessary. I do have to stress that this is the main issue I have with it, and for local journeys or stations with only one operator for a destination, it's perfect as is.
Beautiful but not accurate
I really love the look and feel about the app as it is accurately presenting the real train departure board. However sometimes it isn't accurate. For example I was at London Bridge station and I think either its time table is an hour difference to the actual summer time or train info is missing between pages when pressing 30 mins button. It could be a deal breaker for me as I don't want to miss a train. Please fix it.

Hi and thanks for reviewing NexTrain. The app shows 20 services based on the selected time so yes its possible that it doesn't cover the full 30 mins at busy mainline stations. Our data usage is limited (to keep NexTrain free) but we'll see if we can improve this particular situation, please bear with us 😊🚈
