Description

Since 1914, TNR has been a platform for public-minded thinkers and writers advocating liberal reform in a new industrial age. Today, TNR remains more committed than ever to its social democratic first principles—and most of all, to the project of restoring flagging liberal confidence in the public arena while reclaiming the embattled legacy of civic republican self-rule in America. Our journalism isn’t afraid to debate complex issues and take a stance—from social injustice to climate change.

2 accounts needed. 2 issues behind?

Very disappointing to find this app so unhelpful, confusing and only showing the March issue. 2 months out of date!
No information about the difference between
1. One’s ACTUAL subscription account with the magazine and
2. Creating an account in this app that will somehow allow one to view the TNR mag across “devices”?
Something one can do quite easily by logging into to the TNR page and signing in using one’s said subscription account.
This seems like a deliberate attempt to confuse people into paying again to read TNR mag in this app?? Very worrying!
Also the latest issue available is the May2020 issue online.
But March 2020 is the latest one available here in the App, despite the fact that when you are at the aforementioned “ create an account...across other devices” page as already mentioned. There is a picture of the 3 latest editions. MAY, March, APRIL. Which quite frankly only seems to suggest and add to the idea that one needs to pay an(other) subscription to read the latest editions in this TNR APP.
If this is not deliberate obfuscation? Then why are the April and May editions not available through this App right now? Yet can be read by any bona fide subscriber, such as myself, using any device that can connect to the WWW & the TNR page - and has a reasonable sized screen???? This seems more like the sort of deliberate muddling The Dirty Digger Murdoch and his filthy employees on Fox News would do?
The exact opposite of what the The New Republic is and has always been known for.
I am very disturbed and confused by this. I would be most grateful if could please explain these apparent anomalies. And also why one this app is 2 issues out of date? Thank you in anticipation of your help.
