Sign-up needs improvements

The sign-up process needs improvements. The password policy isn’t compatible with the Apple password manager built in to iOS, so an iCloud generated password is considered invalid (app says it has no special characters, even though it contains hyphens). Also, it doesn’t offer to retrieve the password from the iOS password manager and you can’t cut and paste the password from the password manager into the app (submit button only works if you actually type it), meaning you have to write it down and manually re type it, which is frustrating and might introduce errors. Finally, after signing up the initial log in attempt didn’t work, just tap the sign-in button and nothing happens, not even an error message. I eventually realised I had an email that I had to validate first, but the app didn’t tell me I had to look for that after I signed up. Would be better if it told me to look for the email, or at least when it fails to log in, there should be an error message rather than just doing nothing.

Not getting lid off warnings

We had a new ARC softener installed 9 days ago. If I leave the lid off, even for 24 hours, I do not get a warning and the app does not show the lid off symbol. If I press the lid button it sometimes changes the symbol but not always. However, when I replace the lid and refresh the app the symbol changes to show the lid is back on. Why do I have to press the lid button when it is removed to get the app symbol to show that it is off? I spoke to tech support in Harvey and they could not help. Update. I have got it working now but not sure what I did. It only sends level info once a day, not continuously

Useless so far

Set-up doesn’t work for me as described. Keep getting Green light, sometimes continuous, sometimes flashing, neither of which is mentioned in the instructions. Have tried deleting app then downloading again. The only difference that’s made is that I’ve never seen the blue flashing light, whereas I did achieve that a couple of times with the original app, although then I could never get it to pair the softener to my account.
At the moment I’m thinking it’s just too clever for its own good (or trying to be). Expecting a call from the installers soon - but then I was expecting that yesterday. Hopefully it’s not a case of having received their money the service level drops. Now when I send in this review it says both my 5 obscure nicknames are taken!
