Simple but brilliant!

I don’t usually leave reviews for apps but this one is too good not to! A must have for hay fever sufferers. The forecast feature is helpful and information is displayed throughout in a clean and easy to read layout. The diary tab is a nice extra, allowing you to rate your symptoms from 1-4 (bad to good). Shame about the ads though, wish there was an option to remove.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for the feedback! You can remove the ads by instead installing 'My Pollen Forecast Pro'. You should be able to find it on the App Store, it is a one-time purchase.

Super helpful, but why can you not enter all year around?!

I’ve been using this app for a few years, however, as a tree pollen allergy sufferer, it’s annoying that I cannot enter data before March. My symptoms start in February (sometimes as early as late Jan if it an unseasonably warm winter - hello global warming!), as I’m allergic to Hazels and Yews, but I’m unable to start tracking when symptoms start, which is annoying as I can’t see the exact dates year on year.
Otherwise, the app is helpful to identify if it is a high pollen day / which type of pollen is floating around.
Fix the data entry restrictions, and this would be a 5 star app

Developer Response ,

This has now been resolved in the latest update. The update will roll out to all users over the next 7 days, or you can go to the App Store and manually check for users in order to receive the update immediately.

Inaccurate / contradicting

Got an ad for this app today, it seems to be one of the only ones that actually has a PPM pollen count which is amazing.

The interface is nice and compact, but it’s not user-friendly, for example it’s easy to slightly misclick and be taken to the same ‘weather’ page..

Not just that, but the app is not at all accurate. For example this morning it said pollen count was moderate-high, and then will be much higher from 11am-3pm. And now at the top it says all pollen is low.. yet the 11-3 high is still there. Also saying this at a time when the met office has ‘high’ grass pollen warning and it’s all over the news. Also, if I click the left arrow to this morning it now says there was 0 pollen there whatsoever.

Maybe this app was once good, but currently it’s just a neglected digital equivalent of an old dusty filing cabinet, I’m not sure why it’s even being actively advertised on social media.

A dark interface would be nice as an option, so I can at least save my eyes whilst being misled
