Add attendance stats
Hey there,
After the version 2.0 was rolled out, the app does its intended job, so that's great. However, personal attendance tracking stats, such as calendar, attendance scores (overall %, subject specific %) are missing. And that's a huge minus.
Also, why not gamify the app a little bit to make what is otherwise just another tedious Imperial app something more fun? Would be cool to have streak medals, achievements, etc.
Cheers!
Developer Response ,
Thank you so much for your feedback. We've fed this back to the business owners (part of Imperial's registry). Your ideas will be considered as they prioritise business requirements, the feature is an MVP at the moment as we get other features off the ground too. The app is a strategic initiative for Imperial so we will be continuing to improve the experience of the features which are being designed by students from the Dyson School of Design Engineering.
Redundant and frustrating to use
I’ve been using this app for a couple months now.
I’d first like to point out the problem with the concept - this app fills no gap or need. We have other ways of taking attendance (key card readers, paper lists) that we still use at Imperial.
Second, it is very difficult to check-in during the given window. We have 5 minutes before class to check in, and often cannot, if any issues arise, or class starts early. We are not allowed to use phones during class, and if we were, it is distracting, we are there to learn and I prefer not to have my phone out.
Thirdly, there is no way to report an issue within the app. There should be a way to write a note or somehow so that your attendance is tagged at least as “unclear” or “attempted” or “issue reported.” If we have a problem, there is no way to fix it and get the app working during the slot. I’m not going to leave my class to go to the ICT desk and miss my lecture. But otherwise, as it is now, I get marked absent.
These issues are serious and despite my questions to the uni about them, no one has shown any indication of fixing them. I’m very disappointed.
TLDR: The app layout itself is pretty colorful and fun, but unfortunately is plagued with hardware issues and has no real purpose.
Thank you for reading and have a good day.
Check in doesn’t work
Bluetooth is on, location is detected, even reinstalled the app, restarted the phone, still doesn’t work
Very poor for smaller classrooms…
