Play to learn about Spain

MundiRetos - Spain is a free of charge iPhone and iPad app, available in English and Spanish languages, that encourages and facilitates knowledge of the 52 provinces and autonomous cities of Spain, through entertainment, leveraging the “play to learn” strategy.

By way of entertainment, it will help you discover and learn more than fifteen hundred relevant facts of the the 50 provinces plus 2 autonomous cities of Spain, in facets such as their geography, history, art, popular people, curiosities or popular culture, among others.

A useful app, moreover, to exercise memory, posing challenges that stimulate mental exercise and help prevent and reduce cognitive deterioration.

This “quiz” type app includes two game modes:
— Play PROVINCES: Choose one of the 52 Spain provinces and autonomous cities, and challenge your knowledge about it.
— Play SPAIN: Dare with the challenge of 4 random provinces (4Random), or with the four challenges (Basic, Bronze, Silver and Gold) that will question you about the 52 provinces and autonomous cities of Spain at the same time.

Best option is to start playing PROVINCES. The Play PROVINCES mode will help you learn more about each one of them, to overcome the 52 Spain provinces and autonomous cities challenges. And this learning will also help you to improve your records in the 5 challenges of the Play SPAIN mode.

PLAY PROVINCES
— To start the game, choose one of the 50 Spain provinces or the 2 autonomous cities.
— Each move will ask you a question about that province or autonomous city. And you have to guess the correct answer out of four possible options.
— If you get it right, your score for that province or autonomous city will increase. And you can keep playing to improve that score.
— If you guess wrong, the app will let you know the correct answer. Your province record will be updated if you improved it. And you can Continue starting a new game, or Finish the game.
— Each time you overcome a province or autonomous city challenge, by guessing the 30 facts, a screen will appear to prove it.
— And the Play PROVINCES Scoreboard will show you the number of times you already achieved each province or autonomous city challenge.

PLAY SPAIN
— Choose one out of the five challenges: 4RANDOM, BASE, BRONZE, SILVER or GOLD.
— In 4RANDOM each move will present you a fact of one of the four provinces or autonomous cities randomly chosen for the challenge. And you have to guess which province or autonomous city it corresponds to selecting one out of four options.
— If you Play BASE, BRONZE, SILVER or GOLD, each move will present you a province or autonomous city fact. And you have to choose the correct answer out of four options.
— If you get it right, your game score will be increased. And you can continue playing to improve your score for that level.
— If you guess wrong, the app will let you know which is the correct province or autonomous city. Your record will be updated if you improved it. And you will be able to Continue starting a new game, or Finish the game.
— The Play SPAIN Scoreboard will show your current records for each of the 5 game challenges. And the times you have managed to overcome each challenge.
— You will achieve the 4RANDOM challenge if, in a game, you guess right 100 facts corresponding to 25 data from each of the 4 randomly chosen provinces and autonomous cities of Spain.
— You will achieve the BASIC, BRONZE, SILVER and GOLD levels if, in a game, you guess right 50, 100, 150 or 200 questions, respectively, about 4, 10, 20 or 30 facts from the 52 Spain provinces and autonomous cities.
— And each time you achieve one of the challenges, a screen will appear to prove it.

The ultimate goal is to master 30 key facts from each one of the 52 Spain provinces and autonomous cities. It's quite difficult, but the more you play, the more you'll learn about Spain and the closer you'll be to achieving it... Let's play, to learn!
