Description
This is an AUv3 compatible Multi-Track Recorder plugin specifically designed for AUM and other DAW's that don't support audio recording capabilities.
MultiTrack can be used for a host of purposes such as a tool for recording and layering audio for export to other DAW's , creating that perfect loop for other third party applications or recording vocal sessions to accompany you in AUM. Its uses are endless.
It features the ability to record up to 8 mono or stereo audio tracks per instance, with the ability to run multiple instances under the control of your host DAW. MultiTrack has the ability to run standalone using it's own transport or synced to a host which allows synchronous control of multiple instances.
MultiTrack supports various recording modes including the ability to set punch in and out points for sample accurate recordings. Press the Host Sync in order to the advantage of the hosts transport controls or enable the remote button to enable host recording controls (great for NS2).
Use the Audio Pool window to quickly and easily import, export and perform mix-downs of audio clips. Quickly and easily move audio files using drag and drop to the time line or between the audio pool and the Files App. Imported audio is automatically converted to the projects sample rate. The audio pool also features the ability to copy and paste audio directly from the iOS pasteboard as well as preview and manage your data.
An intergrated 8 channel mixer allows you to control the level, pan and effect send levels. Although AUM allows some great routing options for third party effects, MultiTrack also includes an extremely CPU friendly beat synced delay and reverb which can be used where recording pre-effected instruments is not an option.
MultiTrack allows per clip volume level as well as being able to control start and end cropping and fade in/out on a clip by clip basis. All these operations are quick and easy to make using the touch screen alone.
Also included is the ability to perform operations such as splitting, normalising, reversing and time stretching of audio clips all with a multi-level undo built right in. A comprehensive set of selection, copying and duplication tools make editing a breeze.
Each track has it's own mute, solo and metering which can also be used to monitoring incoming signal levels. Finally you have the ability to mix down a selected range of your song or create perfectly looped samples for use in other DAW's , samplers and drum machines such as DigiStix.

Ratings and Reviews
Very useful, except...
Multitrack allows audio recording along a timeline within apps such as AUM and as such provides a unique service that isn’t available from anywhere outside of a DAW, hence its incredibly useful and works well, in a basic way.
There’s one glaring and somewhat inexplicable omission. Unlike virtually any other audio recording app or plugin, audio files are hidden from the iOS files app - and the only way to locate them, is to locate the correct instance of the multitrack plugin in the correct project...so if you’ve been using this for a long time with many instances and projects, locating that one file becomes tedious. And even then one has to mix down the audio in order to then export it for use elsewhere.
5 starts once this is implemented.
Essential if you need to extend existing EUM recordings
This is the plug-in that places AUM one decisive step closer to becoming a fully fledged modular DAW, and not just a mixing and routing environment. Another stroke of genius from the developer.
Are use this tool to punch in phrases, soundscapes and other musical ornaments after the main mix has been recorded live.
Needs Work
I tried this on an iPad Air 1 and it plays tracks when it wants to. Even when tracks are unmuted sometimes only one track plays until I mute the silent track and unmute it, then it plays together with the other track. Very difficult when trying to edit tracks.
Second problem, sometimes when I have worked on a project for a while and I play, it does not stop even when I stop it, it just keeps playing until I import another audio or just totally close the whole app down.
Thinking it wan an iPad Air 1 problem, I now have an iPad 7 and still the exact same issue. It seems to me it is some sort of buffer / memory problem, as the essential functions and Audiobus still work perfectly.
Third problem. When I save songs sometimes it does not save the EQ, so I have to set those again every time I open the file to work on it.
These three problems occur on an iPad Air 1 and an iPad 7 running the latest update, so no issues with the iPad.
Fix these three problems and I’ll give it 5 star
On another note, App support link does not take you to a dedicated app support page but to a site which seems totally unrelated.
Developer Response ,
This plugin inherits the sample rate of the hot application (it has to) so it does not have its own sample rate. As long as you start a new song inside the DAW of choice and keep loading it inside the same DAW everything will work fine. My guess is that you attempted to load the plugin inside other apps set to other sample rates. Please only create one song in one DAW and the sample rate will remain constant. This is possibly resulting in the mutes issue. Creating a new song within a DAW sets the default sample rate for the song. You can check this in Song -> Song Details. The current sample rate should be the same as the song sample rate for things to work correctly. Otherwise I issue a warning message.
