Scan or pro
High definition, high quality photo/document scanner... all good so far, haven’t any crashes, works on my iPhone X. Obviously I haven’t scanned every conceivable thing one would be able to scan but what I have so far has worked very well. In a sea of ‘pro’ scanners this one is a good ‘un. The only thing I can think of that might be helpful is to be able to alter the perspective post scan (it can be done I had a now long gone app way back in iOS 6 or 7 that could do it). Not quite the same function, it would also be cool to have a simple rotate wheel rather like the onboard iOS photo app has. The very good crop tool works well and does help to fix things but sometimes more control over the rotation and perspective is needed if what you scanned is at a particularly odd angle. All good so far tho’
An amazingly useful app
I find Scanbot perfect for saving musical scores to my iPad. I can save a whole programme to read in performance and can send parts to students and friends.
It squares up images which are skewed and improves contrast. It is great for saving any document which can be studied later at home or modified. PDF is such a useful format it can be transferred easily between devices and printed if necessary..
Was good years ago- quite rubbish now
This app used to function well years ago. It is now complete utter rubbish. Be warned. My current phone is iPhone 15 Pro Max. The app does not crop automatically. Recent update improves slightly but still, does not focus well. Also, the order of documents when transferred from other app will be randomly re-arranged. Even if you were to spend time trying to re-order the pages of the document manually, you will be even more frustrated!… the pages continuously move randomly as you are trying to reassign the correct order! I have contacted the “support” several times over the past three months but receives absolutely no help. The app is still as dysfunctional! I would suggest best avoiding this app to avoid stress.
