miTypewriter 4+

I have various real typewriters and I wanted an app that emulated as near as possible a real typewriter. This app is a great emulation.
It looks like a classic machine. It sounds like one and the keys all come up to the paper from the correct angle. The shift and carriage return all work visually too.
I've given this app five stars because it works as it should and thought has been put into the animations to make it feel right.
If I could recommend anything it would be to have red/black ribbon and a switch to move between the two colours. Other than that it's a typewriter. A simple and elegant machine and a simple and elegant app.

This app is daft but very entertaining. When you type is sounds just like an old fashioned typewriter, it pings when you get to the end and you can email your letter or draft to someone and it comes up in the old style type face. It is just one of those apps that are highly amusing.

This app is actually epic! I could sit for hours, well maybe not hours, just typing away like some 1920's secretary :) totally worth the money, fantastic quality app, no problems, very smooth response and well made.
