Great idea, but have I got this right…?

I can’t really try the app, as no one is missing.

But when I saw this app in a news article, I expected it to be a way to be able to get involved in a search for someone who is missing, even though I don’t know them or their families, and they don’t know me. A sort of community search group following an alert to my phone that someone’s missing and may be in my area.

Does that make sense? If it does, and this could be done, this app could be…. Incredibly reassuring, even lifesaving?

As it stands, it seems to be that I create an account (done) and then when someone I know goes missing I invite 8 others to the app - that I know will also be searching - to create an account and then we track in here. Which all sounds great! But could the above work?

Apologies if that’s what it does and I’ve misunderstood. I’ll edit this if that’s the case.
