Description
The ‘Meditation Time App’ provides you with a very useful tool to make your meditation even more mindful: Set the timer and let one of the many singing bowls and instruments remind you of the end of your meditation after the desired time.
If you wish, you can also set a mindfulness chime at any interval to gently bring you back to meditation if your thoughts do wander.
Pleasant nature sounds as switchable background sounds help you meditate when your mind (or your environment) is particularly restless.
Our guided meditations by professional speakers provide you with additional guidance and motivation for your daily meditation practice.
The ‘teaching’ provides a brief and undogmatic overview of the most important aspects of meditation practice and offers you inspiration and motivation for your regular meditation.
Conclusion: This app is perfect for you if you want to bring more mindfulness into your life with meditation. It doesn't matter whether you've never meditated before or are an old hand at meditation. By the way: since version 4.0, we have even built in special modes for the masters of meditation: the Master Mode for up to 4 hours of meditation at a time and the Zen Mode, which sounds the end chime three times.
With this in mind, I wish you: a peaceful mind and a calm disposition.
Why use a meditation app at all?
A meditation app offers a simple and accessible way to regularly integrate mindfulness and inner peace into your everyday life. It helps to reduce stress, promote concentration and increase general well-being. Especially in a hectic world where we are often overwhelmed by obligations and distractions, a meditation app helps to create moments of calm and to arrive in the here and now.
There is an important connection between meditation apps and the concept of MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction), a scientifically based method for reducing stress. MBSR uses mindfulness exercises such as meditation, breathing techniques and body scans to manage stress and chronic strain. Many meditation apps are based on similar principles and offer guided exercises that integrate the central elements of MBSR. This allows users to benefit from the proven techniques and integrate mindfulness into their everyday lives - whether to manage stress, improve sleep or promote serenity.

Ratings and Reviews
Simple but effective
I have used this app for a while as I like it’s simplicity. The display is spiritual and the gong is large enough to not miss it with your finger. Also with the gong, you can choose various sounds. I like the fact that you can choose background sounds, whilst limited, it’s enough to get you in a state of relaxation. The interval gong if used is ideal to keep you alert when you’re halfway through your meditation.
There are also useful tips on starting out in meditation if you’re new to it.
I recommend this if you want a simple meditation timer with no annoying commentary with the option of background sounds. 5 stars from me 🙏🏻
Perfect!
Just what I was looking for and more. I was looking for a timer with interval bells; this has that and they’re customisable so you can pick the sounds you like best (and they all sound good!), plus there are various background tracks which are actually pleasant and the app also looks nice! Absolutely perfect!
Thank you so much to the developers for making it and not having it be locked behind a subscription. If in the future you wanted to add an optional donation as in IAP, I would be happy to pay a few pounds for this to to thank you for your work and lack of greediness 😊💛 Many thanks again!
Just enough!
I love this app which I’ve been using for a couple of years now. I love that it’s uncomplicated and gives me just what I want - a variable timer for my daily meditation practice; my yin yoga sessions; timer for breathing practices in my classes and my healing group meetings when we do a 10 minute check-in. The gongs and bowls have an authentic sound. When I feel lazy or unmotivated to lead my own meditation, I follow the guided meditation which has enough space in it without words, I like that, thank you🙏🏻
