Nice upgrade
The app’s UI is significantly better than it’s previous iteration and has a few more sources for English than before if I remember right.
However, a lot of the features simply don’t work especially the ones related to account migration from Manga UP! On my device the app doesn’t let me import my data, doesn’t let me log in normally with the same credentials I used for manga up and when I press to reset my password nothing happens. Also the ‘contact us’ button doesn’t redirect to anything which is why I’m writing this review in the first place.
Overall, some tweaks just need to be made and it would be a 5 star app for me but it’s currently unusable for me since I don’t have any way to access my previous manga list and account.
Manga Bento new app
I’m giving you 3 stars until the app have a few updates. As I’m not very happy with this new one for a few reasons.
You closed down the old app and lucky me to have an account, because the “export data” does not work at all.
You made in a way that when the data is exported, all chapters go back to 0, for someone that has more that 170 mangas read/reading it’s very annoying.
The new app does not tell you that there is a new chapter. You have to manually go and check if there is an update.
I do like the new interface and I’m very impressed that when searching it collects information from all available sources.
It is really annoying that every “go to next chapter” gives you a 5sec advertisement, I’m even more annoyed that most of the times is 30sec…. I wouldn’t mind paying the monthly subscription as I use your app for a few years and I like what it provides. But I really need to improve a tad bit. Specially the “new chapter” availability.
I will review my score, when I see the app working properly.
Progress
I do enjoy using this app it’s easy to use with a wide variety of manga, however Idk if it’s just me who has this issue- but whenever I go to continue a manga and press the ‘continue’ button my progress is lost and returns the the first chapter. If anyone knows how to resolve this issue or if this is happening to someone else please reply. Overall, I recommend this app for manga x
