Manfrotto MVG220

Just bought the Manfrotto MVG220 gimbal today and really hoped that the App would work - but it doesn’t. Talks to the gimbal but doesn’t recognise the Nikon Z6 camera attached. Indicates that a firmware update is required, but fails to download. All the gimbal can do is tilt; nothing else. I certainly wouldn’t recommend the App, and by association, the gimbal. Gimbal is going back!

MG 220

I’ve used the 220 model with a Sony A6000 and a Nikon D5300. The app works perfectly with the Sony, even though Nikon is not supported it still controls the D5300 throughout the 3 axes, (pan, tilt and roll).

It can be a little difficult to to get a smooth horizontal pan without affecting the tilt as well, but a bit of practice will allow better control.

No Change

No change in the last two years. Don't recognise the camera, updates continue to fail. Bad experience.
