Mandala Maker: symmetry doodle 4+

Could be perfect.

This is a great app. There’s SO many options. So many different pens and shapes and colours. Well worth the £5 unlock. But I find myself going back to Amazograph simply because this doesn’t allow you to set default colours for things like background or pens. So I start a new mandala. I have to change the background to white. Every time. Then set the grid lines to black so I can see them properly. I select a pen. I have to change it from the random colour it’s set itself and back to the colour I use most (black). If you could set default options like white background for the grid. Black lines for the grid and black pencil, then change them as and when you need/want to I’d use it a lot more. As it stands I find it irritating having to change them every single time so I use amazograph.

Edit - Received a response from the developer giving me a work around and promising an update to fix defaults. Thank you! Really appreciate it. So definitely 5 stars from me.

Thanks for the feedback! I didn't realize the defaults weren't working. I'll post an update soon.
In the meantime, if you duplicate a project that has the settings you like the new project should maintain all of those.

I’m giving 5 stars because this is the only app I can find that actually works with iPhone - I don’t have an iPad.

Please please please please please add these features though:

The line brush: PLEASE make that one so that it works the same way as the compliment brush. I can’t really use it until it does that, or am I missing something? It’s not mirroring in the same way as the compliment brush does :(

When you change the sensitivity, I wish the line would start where your finger touches the screen and not far from it. I have to guess where the line will start and then drag my finger well before it starts - which means I’m constantly pressing the undo button until I get the right starting point AND the right line. I use it almost constantly at mid sensitivity so my lines are smooth - so it’s frustrating having to draw the lines over and over again to get the one I want AND where I want it start from!

Also edited to say - please add an eraser. To erase my lines currently, I set the sensitivity to zero and change the colour of the line to the background colour...

I am really impressed with this developer’s work. Mandala Maker is easy to use and affords even beginners to graphics a great result. I’ve effortlessly created many beautiful mandalas using this app. I’m an experienced Photoshop user but I have also managed to create numerous fun graphics on this app using only a single plane and appropriately placed stickers. The stickers are enormous fun to use. I just wish they could be manipulated more fully. I highly recommend this app, along with his other app Doodle Forever. I’d love to see stickers included on Doodle ForeverI think they would work really well.
