Bring Lloyd of the Flies to life in 3D with this interactive, family augmented reality trail experience!
Download the app, find your local Bug Hunt host venue, enter their unique location code and follow the trail of markers to go on a very unique trail to find Lloyd and his friends along the way. Each marker will unlock a different interactive augmented reality scene, allowing you to pose alongside the characters, take photos and share them with your friends and family as you tick off your bug list.
**Please note, this app can only be used at venues currently hosting the Lloyd of the Flies AR Bug Hunt**

Lloyd of the Flies A.R. Bug Hunt has been optimised for Apple officially supported devices running iOS 16 and later (see iPhone models compatible with iOS 16 – Apple Support (UK). However the app should still work on devices from iPhone 8 and iPad 2017 onwards as long as they are running iOS 15 or above.

Worked brilliantly -great fun!
Disappointing — when it worked 🙁
When it did work, the bug flew away most of the time. However, for the first time in years, my phone locked up. Couldn’t use the app, switch apps nor sleep phone (original iPhone SE). Had to force restart it.
So the developer response, 10 months later, is basically to blame me for using their app on a phone that’s not powerful enough - without putting that requirement in the “Works on this iPhone” section here.
It still says Requires iOS 15 and iPhone SE 1st Gen.

Apologies for the delay in replying but thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you experienced issues with the Bug Hunt app.
Due to the nature of the AR technology the device used does need to be above a certain specification. It has been optimised for Apple officially supported devices running iOS 16 and later (see iPhone models compatible with iOS 16 – Apple Support (UK). However the app should still work on devices from iPhone 8 and iPad 2017 onwards as long as they are running iOS 15 or above. Lack of phone memory can also affect the performance of the app.

Thank you for taking the time to review Bug Hunt.
Since this trail completed last summer and we have made
some fixes and tweaks to enhance and optimise the app.
We've also added a little demo that can tried when you're not at a Trail Location.
Hopefully next time you use it will be even better!
