Lionheart: Dark Moon RPG 9+

I like the way you obtain heroes in the game as well as their skills, how you upgrade them and their skills as well as combat. Additionally I love that they’ve removed the energy system which plagues many a game on this platform.

That said there is some issues with the loot tokens and with gold. These seem to be my current barriers to progress. Loot tokens are the only real incentive to play story, and while you get xp, you get xp potions which negates the need to play without loot.
Gold is what enables you to upgrade the heroes skill along with crystal/gems, amounts are too small considering the small amount you get from the 3 sources, the arena being the worst way, quests and loot tokens being limited.

The tasks set are often too few and are mainly just dailies, and while being another source of gold, keys and other assorted items it doesn’t really help you out much. I think the idea is short play time sessions but I find this limiting considering the potential for game time.

Without gold you end up put at a snails pace for progress with your heroes and means it will take you a while to do much in the arena or progress in story.

I know I’ve seemingly complained a lot here but it is definitely worth checking out, just in this current version it could do with some adjustments.

This game is good, definitely passes the time, but I do find it a little slow to progress. It’s not a game you can put the time into to progress faster as your limited with loot chances so can’t farm, which stops the amount of gold you get. But once your at a certain level and doing all daily activities you get over that barrier. The only other thing i would say is the curve for progression is quite steep, you can obliterate a level with your group of epic/legendary heroes only to try the next one and hit a brick wall. Especially in the events the difficulty ramps up very very fast which isn’t great if you don’t have loads of powerful heroes of all different elements.
But the game is great, plenty free currency to get keys and heroes and definitely worth playing.

Since I wrote this review (a full week and a bit) I haven’t progressed at all in the story. It’s absolutely impossible to beat the Trelis woman, it’s impossible to progress beyond round 4 of the special one type only rounds (who actually has a 1000+ team actually ?????). I’ve maybe beat one level of a hard mode but apart from that it’s just ugh. This game frustrates me now and I play it less and less. Sort it out.

I love this game, the graphics are great, gameplay is fun, but it’s just too slow to level up your characters because it’s so slow to get tokens, all you get are bronze keys 90% of the time so I have about 100 tokens for all my common characters but can’t get any for my rarer ones... so my top fighters are all stuck at max level so I can’t improve!

I love the special quests you get where say you can only use one type of fighter but I could never ever get to even stage 5-6 usually because the difficulty ramps up so quickly, going from ~600 power to 1000 by the time you’re getting to the second big reward! Just seems super impossible a lot of the time. I don’t mind in app purchases but the ones in this game are so expensive!!!! A few tweaks to make it easier to get coins and get tokens and better keys would improve the game a lot, at the moment I can only play about 15 mins a day just to use my loot tokens and attempt to do some levels but some are so hard.... I can’t beat the Trelis queen for the life of me!
