Ratings and Reviews
The app is so much easier to use than the actual website
Not sure everybody will agree, but the app is so intuitive. The sizing is great, the break down of various sections are easier to navigate, and the messaging is full screen. Cons: it’s on my phone
Amateur hour app + amateur hour dev response
Deeply broken login UI. Then, once scrolling through a list of search results the UI switches out to ‘Messages’, with zero navigation elements available to return to the search I was scrolling through. Not ready for release - absolute garbage. And the dev response to this note? Uninstall and reinstall … and if it’s still broken, send us an email. As Greta might say “we’re really sorry blah blah blah … have you tried uninstalling blah blah blah”. No LinkedIn - not sending you an email - I’ve already given you enough information to investigate. My apps auto-update. This blah response just serves to increase friction in getting feedback that you might lead to you actually doing some work to fix this. You want another note? On iPadOS you can’t save a search. I mean what the actual ..? It says to go use the web page?! In an app!!? This stinks of some sideline app that an intern worked on and ran our of time and now nobody looks after it. Well done LinkedIn - I took you up on part of your suggestion … app deleted.
Developer Response ,
Thanks for taking the time to review the LinkedIn Recruiter app. We're sorry to hear you're experiencing this. Can you try to uninstall and reinstall the app? We've found this works for most. If you're still seeing this issue, please email us at https://lnkd.in/LTSmobile so we can look into this. -JC
Taking advantage of their Monopoly
LinkedIn is the only real professional networking tool on the market, and they know it. That’s why they charge astronomical fees and provide very little return. Unannounced major changes to platform functionality has meant I have not been able to conduct the basic searches I paid for (changed industry codes in search function but did not mitigate for that in the back end meaning I cannot search for most people in my own network who haven’t updated to the new codes). There are constant basic glitches in the dashboard view (not updating replies to messages, double instances of messages, projects not updating with correct insights) etc. it is quite possibly one of the most poorly managed tools I’ve ever had to use. And they really couldn’t care less about that or their customers.
