Ling - Learn Thai Language 4+

At first I thought this app was going to be like other apps with little content but this app has a lot of content with great sound and interesting dialogs and activities. And the number of languages is great. The only small downside for a notes to the developers . When I first downloaded this app it didn’t work. Now I’m in china and I thought I would try using a vpn then I realised it only works with a vpn. So every time I use it I must turn on the vpn which is a little annoying. Apart from that it’s very good.

Ling is a really good app for learning thai but i have some problems. I have just finished the introduction stage and now on basic sentences but whenever i click speaking or exam in basic sentences, the screen is just white where im meant to learn it. Writing is completely normal though. I have looked through the help tab but nothing has helped. I cannot continue without doing basic sentences because completing that will unlock the other stages. Im not sure if this is happening to just me but i would like it fixed as i may have to use another app. My other complaint is that ling is only vertical and im on iPad but i can survive. My final problem is that when i was on introduction, speaking, i wanted to see if the app was teaching me to say it correctly. I asked my mum (she is thai) to say what the sentence said but she got 0%. This might be that my timing was a bit off on pressing the mike. If so i apologize but i might not be learning it correctly. Otherwise from that, ling is a really good app as i said in the start. I already knew some phrases as my mum taught me but thats totally fine. I definitely recommend downloading ling!

I’ve been using this Thai language app for a while, and overall, it’s fantastic. The lessons are well-structured, the interactive features keep me engaged
, and I’ve noticed real progress in my vocabulary and pronunciation. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into making the learning process both fun and effective.

That said, I really wish there was a dark mode option. Spending time on the app at night or in low-light environments can strain the eyes, and dark mode would make a huge difference in terms of comfort. It’s a small feature, but it would go a long way in improving the user experience.

Still, a great app for anyone looking to learn Thai—just hoping for that dark mode update soon!
