Excellent value and functionality

My second journey into home automation but I am not an ‘expert’. Very good value and the app is good although I am still trying to understand the significance of the ‘smart’ options as the basic scheduling tool works well already on each device. Overall very pleased. Just wonder where I might get further devices once this Lidl promo is ended.

Very Flexible

Been using these for over a year now and just added some different Zigbee compatible sockets I bought on eBay. App found them straight away, so easy to use. Essential to cut back on energy use now the prices have gone insane.

Some ridiculously small text in the app

Functionality works well once configured, and it’s no more confusing than some of the other home automation control apps I’ve tried.

But I have to call out the ridiculously small text in some of the app. Please use the long-established system provided adaptive text sizes for those with poorer vision.

No Entertainment Area for BULBS..

Works well, BUT as most will want to integrate into an existing system like Hue, then the ability to control the Entertainment Area would be an advantage.. if using third party apps it will not work, so in essence you are stuck with a static colour or turn they are off.. so hopefully the NEXT UPDATE will have this feature... ps IKEA smart bulbs do..😉
So.. PLUS: Cheaper than most, integrates well to Zigbee systems, colours are pretty good, they seem well made..
NEGS: Lack of control from third party apps like OnSwitch for example..

I like this bit of kit it has been working over a year so I am pleased. I did not pay a fortune so well happy with its operation, have used it from all over the world on a world cruise…😳👌🏻

This is fantastic for your first step onto smart tech . Definitely worth buying it fantastic

Very good and slightly frustrating too

The smart home products work very well and are competitive ly priced. It is frustrating that availability isnt better and also that the rannge isold in the UK seems limited.

A gateway issue

I got a Lidl Atmosphere light bulb and I already had a Xiaomi gateway that supports Zigbee and uses a 2.4 ghz WiFi band. I set my router up to work on 2.4 hgz, but the app doesn’t see my gateway when i try to connect using the ‘Other Device 1’ function. Everything seems to work on the other apps, but Lidl Home just doesn’t see it, even when the phone is connected to device’s hotspot.

Why has preconditions suddenly appeared in the smart automation. It’s on twice now. Do both need to be set.

Really impressed

But there is a room for improvement. Integration with Apple Home Kit would be a nice boots for the app, also possibility to group bulbs to work as one would be very appreciated.
