LensFlare Optical Effects 4+

Only downside I find is there should be more layers added an additional 5-10 layers would be perfect.

I’ve got LensFlare Studio on macOS that I absolutely love so thought I’d give the mobile version a go.

Effects are exactly as I’d expect from having used the “big boy” version. The UI though... wowzers, what an abomination! Perhaps it’s yet to be optimized for the iPhone X, at least I hope that’s the case.

Even so, ignoring the stretched out, incorrect aspect ratio, look, it just seems a bit fiddly to me given what other companies have managed to accomplish with their apps.

This also does seem to be the Achilles heel of the BrainFever mobile division as their other app I purchased, Anamorphic, looks just as awful. Shame really as I got the mobile app as a trial before moving on to the desktop version which is significantly more expensive.

Hopefully both apps get an UI overhaul very soon so I can have a proper play around with Anamorphic. Until then though, both apps will just have to gather dust in my Photo Editing folder.

I've used practically all of the apps by Brainfevermedia to date, and all of them are absolutely beautiful! It's definitely worth the purchase for this, or any of the others they have to offer and in terms of app improvements, I'd just say keep adding more to each! It's impressive how such a little light (or big, depending on your taste) can make a huge difference!

There is one thing I would perhaps like to see in the future however. And I fully realise how much of a challenge this'll sound, but I believe it is very possible to accomplish. I would love it if there was an app, like lensflare, that allowed you to apply these effects to recorded video. Hell, I'd happily pay for it, no matter the price! :)
