It his that balance of letting you learn to write and have bad handwriting while not letting you write it illegibly, not only that but it lets you see the answer if you need the app trusts you to let yourself learn (also it’s one lifetime payment for bonus stuff instead of bleeding you dry monthly like most language learning apps do)

Good, but can’t share between devices

Really good little app. You can practise stroke order and the relative accuracy of your Kana writing. Very simple, but something that most other Kana apps don’t seem to do. It’s so helpful to actually practise writing it, as it’s very easy to learn it by recognition, but a whole other thing to learn to draw it perfectly from memory. I’ve gained a lot of confidence from this app, and it’s definitely one that I’d recommend to those wanting to properly learn hiragana and katakana.
The only issue is that I purchased the whole app on my iPad, then decided that I’d use it more on my phone, but the purchase didn’t transfer. So I’ll have to buy it again if I want access to the whole app… It wont break the bank, but I can’t seem to find a way to fix it, which is annoying. So consider what device you’ll use it more on before purchasing!

Very Good App for Beginners!

I’ve been using this app for probably only a few hours and I’ve learnt much more hiragana than my previous attempts which would take days! It’s extremely effective at teaching you how to write letters in the correct order of the strokes and it is extremely easy to use. The only features that I wish it had was to be able to turn off the romanji hint and only hear the sound, and to have a way to practice all the characters that you’ve learnt in one test without having to switch in between groups. I know I could make a custom group but it’s a lot of work to go through and select every single one that I’ve learnt. One thing that is kinda a problem is that it occasionally doesn’t pick up on some things that I write correctly, but I must admit it is really good most of the time. Thanks for creating this app, it’s really good!
